This school is committed to safeguarding, child protection, and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all members of the school and its community to share this commitment

Dear Parents/Carers,
Thank you for showing an interest in our school. We provide a high quality education for all the children who come to Englefield Green Infant School and Nurseries. We are a two form entry Infant School, with Squirrels Nursery for 2-3 year olds and Acorns Nursery for 3-4 year olds. We offer vertically streamed classes in Key Stage One. Therefore, we have three mixed age classes of Year One and Two.
We are affiliated with the Guildford Diocese and also belong to the North Runnymede Learning Partnership of schools.  We wo
rk closely with these partners to continue the learning journey of our school, and also with St Jude’s C of E Junior School as the majority of our children move on there.
We are committed to developing your children so they can be confident and independent learners. It is important to us that every child is known and recognised here at Englefield Green Infant School and Nurseries.
We know as Parents/Carers that you have already begun the learning process and we look forward to working in partnership with you to continue your child’s development.
For working parents we offer wrap around care at our Breakfast club and at our after school club (Gap Club).
You are very welcome to visit us by telephoning the school office to make an appointment. We would love to show you our school.

I look forward to meeting you in the near future.

Public Consultation

On 11 March 2020, Surrey County Council and Guildford Diocesan Board of Education published linked proposals to close Christ Church CofE Infant School and Englefield Green Infant School and Nurseries and open a new Church of England voluntary aided infant school on the Englefield Green Infant School site.  The statutory representation period was due to close on 22 April 2020.

In the light of the government guidelines to reduce the spread of Coronavirus and the implications for members of the public and statutory services, Surrey County Council and Guildford Diocesan Board of Education have taken the decision to pause the statutory notices representation period with immediate effect.

It is important that we give parents and other interested parties enough time to respond and consider the proposal.

Both organisations therefore will pause the current statutory consultation with effect from 24 March 2020, The consultation will not proceed to decision making by the Leader of the Council on 12 May and the reorganisation proposal will not be implemented on 1 September 2020.

We will keep this page updated once plans are made to re-open the public consultation.

Thank you for taking the time to attend public meetings and for your responses during the informal consultation period. Thank you also for the responses so far during this period of representation. Your responses will be reviewed and will be considered in future decision making.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact Jane Keenan at schoolorg@surreycc.gov.uk

We won Gold! A huge thank you to the children and parents who helped us achieve this award. We desperately need some volunteers to keep our grounds and vegetable patches going. Please speak to the office if you can give up an hour once a week to help us maintain our lovely outside areas.
